Dr. Legried specializes in family medicine.
Dr. MaryLee S. Legried is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her residency at the University of North Dakota in Family Practice Residency in Fargo, N.D., in 1996.
She is Board Certified in Family Practice, which means she has fulfilled the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and has passed examinations that accredit her in the field of family practice.
In 2003, she joined the medical staff at Wadena Medical Center.
In November 2005, she became the medical director and full-time family practice physician at Ottertail Area Medical Clinic - a clinic built by Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, Minn.
What Dr. Legried likes best about being a family practice physician are her patients. "I like the variety of people I meet and the different conditions I treat," she said.
As a family practice doctor, Dr. Legried is trained in all major areas of family practice and is qualified to care for most of the medical needs of the entire family, from infants to elderly.
Dr. Legried grew up near New York Mills, where she was an outstanding high school athlete in basketball, track and golf. After high school, she attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., where she received her undergraduate degree.
